Honeydew is a suburb of the leafy town of Roodepoort west of Johannesburg. Honeydew is a suburb that is still very much being developed with tracts of vacant land still available. With Honeydew being the main suburb which is at the higher end of middle-class and then prestigious adds value to developments like Honey Park.
Property developers have seen it fit in their wisdom to develop a large sectional title development known as Honey Park, which may just as well be a smaller suburb of Honeydew.
The diverse usage in the sectional title scheme caters for townhouses and apartments which in turn brings a varied pricing structure but catering mostly for the middle-class.
There are three individual developments within Honey Park, Ironwood, Rosewood and Redwood that have their own distinct architecture playing into the consumer fashion requirements.
What makes the development so attractive is the property values, the growth potential 24-hour manned access control and loads of communal spaces and carports allocated to units. Then the other important factor which sets a high degree of demand is its prime location within the greater Roodepoort. This means residents have easy convenient access to all the major commercial hubs in and around the greater Johannesburg like commercial hubs in Jo’burg CBD, Roodepoort, Cresta and Ferndale and industrial hubs in Kya Sands, Chamdor and Delporton. Roads which makes access to the various hubs convenient are Beyers Naude Drive, Christiaan De Wet Road and Northumberland Avenue.
Being situated in the greater Roodepoort means there are a number of schools which cater for educational needs such as Boskop Primary School, Curro Aurora Independent School, and Golang Primary Farm.
There are more than enough retail and entertainment venue catering for residents of Honey Park such as Honey Crest Shopping Centre, Lifestyle Crossing, Honeydew Shopping Centre and Cradlestone Mall.
