Goodwood is a suburb in the northern suburbs of Cape Town, which was established in 1905.

The founders of the suburb intended to establish a racecourse in Goodwood but the idea was abandoned after the first event and the idea was moved to Epping, which is an industrial hub close to Goodwood.

The suburb is old and well established with a mixture of property use which varies from apartments like the Liberty Grande apartments and free standing homes.

The architecture is mixed with old world charm homes and some more modern designs, which add to the attraction of the suburb as a residential address.

Goodwood is in prime location as in recent years the Grand West Casino was constructed where the Goodwood showgrounds once stood. This development has infused extra value into the general property value in Goodwood and the surrounding suburbs. The casino has also created a diversified property use in the form of guest houses and Bed and Breakfasts which are related to the casino in large part.

The well established schools in the suburb and close by are the other major factor in property value. Schools servicing the suburb include JG Meiring Hoërskool, Hoërskool President and Fairbairn College.

The suburb is very conveniently close to industrial hubs which are a major source for investing in the suburb. Some of the nearby industrial hubs include Epping 1 & 2, Maitland, Elsies River, Bellville, Parow Industrial and Paarden Eiland.

The suburb is close to the V&A Waterfront also adding to the property values. Other malls which are in close proximity are N1 City Mall, Canal Walk and Ratanga Junction.

The suburb is conveniently close to popular beaches including Milnerton, Table View and Bloubergstrand.

Major roads which make travel convenient are Vangaurd Drive, Voortrekker Road and the N1 highway.
