Tygerdal is a suburb of Parow in the northern suburbs of Cape Town. The suburb can be defined as a middle-class suburb judging from the general property values.

Factors which drive these property values are factors like its prime location, the number of schools within easy access and the mixed property usage catering for single people to the retired community.

The suburb is also sought after due to the very tranquil familial nature of the suburb.

The mixed architecture visible in Tygerdal gives an idea of the transformation through time the suburb has experienced from its inception. This means there are older more conventional homes and then homes of a more contemporary and modern architecture which means the market has a wide range to choose from and this fact also allows for a broader income spectrum to purchase property in the suburb.

Tygerdal has a number of industrial hubs in close proximity contributing to the general household income in the suburb. Here is a list of some of the industrial hubs; Epping Industria 1 & 2, Elsies Rivier Industrial, Sacks Circle Industrial and Paarden Eiland.

Major roads which highlight the prime location are roads such as Frans Conradie Drive, Vasco Boulevard, and access to the N1 Freeway and quick access to Voortrekker Road.

Residents are spoilt for choice with the number of schools close to the suburb with schools such as JG Meiring High School, Goodwood Park Primary School, Monte Vista Primary School and Fairbairn College.

With the northern suburb of Cape Town having been developed to the extent that it now has means there are a large number of retail malls and entertainment venues to choose from such as N1 City Mall, Rothman Centre, GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World and easy access to Canal Walk.

The other attraction that Cape Town residents enjoy is of course access to the many public beaches.
