The history of Rivonia is one of conflict and affluence.

Rivonia is situated between the Braamfontein Spruit and the Sandspruit.

Rivonia falls within the northern suburbs of Johannesburg which is a belt that consists of exclusive properties and suburbs.

Rivonia is a mix use residential suburb and is considered by many to be the most affluent suburb in Johannesburg.

The affluence is evident in the selling price homes in Rivonia fetch. Like many of its sister suburbs, Rivonia has no artificial attractions to enhance the attraction, which is purely the properties themselves and what they offer in terms of space and exclusivity.

It could be argued that Rivonia led to the development of the northern suburbs of Johannesburg or their perceived exclusivity at that stage.

Rivonia is today a well-established self-sufficient suburb which in many respects dictate property market trends and to some degree property values.

The mixed use arrangement of Rivonia has led to exclusivity and when viewing the retail hubs in and around Rivonia this is evident with a lot of IT Companies opting for Rivonia as their place of business - Hewlett-Packard also has their South African Head Quarters in Rivonia.

Rivonia has a few extensions which further improves the attraction to the entire north of Johannesburg as a residential address.

All the amenities are in place and conveniently located, minimizing travel.

Exclusive schools, public schools, retail and commercial hubs are close.
