The sunny sought after suburb of Rembrandt Ridge is located east of Johannesburg in what can be described as a prime location. Falling within the municipality of the greater Sandton means there is a degree of status or prestige which the suburb has inherited adding to its property values and demand.

Of course for most suburbs a prime location means there is always a high demand for homes which in turn keeps the suburb values buoyant and rising.

Rembrandt Ridge consists of a mixed property usage which is made up of freestanding homes, townhouses, apartments and cluster homes of which all fall within the upper middle-class income group.

The essence of the suburb can be described as jovial and familial with neatly maintained sidewalks and manicured gardens which display perfectly against the mixed architecture.

Looking at the architecture in Rembrandt Park it seems to be the young to young-middle aged families which take up residency in the suburb and part of this is also found in the more modern contemporary architecture.

This fact is also somewhat confirmed by the large number of high density or sectional title apartments and townhouses in the suburb which cater largely for the younger single generation and the families just starting out. This also means the suburbs properties fall within the high sales movement category.

The prime location of Rembrandt Ridge is in relation to both the industrial and commercial sectors which bring sustainable household income. Commercial hubs close to the suburb are Corlett Gardens, Longmeadow Business Park, Sandton, Rivonia and Morningside. Industrial hubs close to the suburb are Kew, Wynberg, Sebenza and Isando.

Drawing from the well-established schools is of great advantage to Rembrandt Ridge with access to schools such as Sandringham High School, Waverley Girls’ High School, Rembrandt Park Primary School and St Andrew’s School for Girls.

Residents are overloaded with the choice of malls to replenish their household needs or just for entertainment with the suburb having easy and convenient access to malls such as Greenstone Shopping Centre, Stoneridge Shopping Centre, Bramley Gardens Shopping Centre and Norwood Mall to mention but a few.
