Pearly Beach in the Western Cape developed as a holiday destination which has been increasing in demand over the years with holiday makers seeking the more remote regions of this pristine Western Coast coastline. This is in part due to places like Franskraal and Uilkraalsmond Nature Reserve attracting both tourists and property investors.

Pearly Beach has its own nature reserve which offers loads for tourists to view on drives through the reserve.

The indication that Pearly Beach is purely a tourist destination is the fact that there are at present no schools in the village. The closest schools are either in Hermanus or Gansbaai. This may change over time as this gem of a destination grows further in popularity.

Property values are driven by factors such as architecture, location and views over the sea or surrounding unkempt and pristine nature.

The architecture ranges from conventional to designer homes of single and multi-level arrangements which are factors that drive property prices.

Tourists to this beautiful region will not be bored after spending time in the wide white sand dune protected beaches and azure blue sea waters.

Alternative attractions in and around Pearly Beach include its location on the Cape Whale coast, meaning seasonal tourists will flock here twice a year to view these spectacular marine mammals in June and September. Some more attractions include the Agulhas National Park, the Cape Agulhas Wine Route, Shark Cage Diving, a visit to Walker Bay and watch the whales migrate and frolic in the protected bay. One can also take a drive through the Overberg Fynbos route.

Visits to neighboring villages are a day trip. Other villages close by include Gansbaai, Franskraal, Quoin Point, De Kelders ,Van Dyk’s Bay, Struis Bay and Suiderstrand.
