Parkmore and surrounding suburbs like Benmore and Benmore Gardens were established on a farm Sandfontein in 1928 belonging to Montagu Simpson.

As the need for residential property increased in suburbs like Sandton, Melrose and Rosebank the land was sold of and slowly suburbs began to develop.

Very soon the mentioned suburbs became exclusive suburbs and Parkmore followed suit.

Parkmore is in a prime location with malls schools and commercial hubs located nearby with a smaller commercial hub in Parkmore itself.

Thus it is very much a self-contained well-established suburb which will appeal to most property investors catering for the middle to high income groups.

Property use consists of freehold homes which has a broad architectural spectrum from the conventional to the modern architecture. Space is the operative word for homes in the suburb which has large grounds and groomed display gardens that add to the idea of affluence.

Sectional-title townhouses are popular in the suburb for rental, buy-to-let and owners with stable growth and a high demand.

The prime location of the suburb is a major benefit for people working in commercial hubs like Sandton, Hyde Park or to Morningside as the access roads are convenient with more than one major road as an access point.

Sectional-title apartments are ideal for business executives with the convenience of lock-up and-go with the added safety and the exclusivity and the prime location.

The other benefit is the rezoning of property use from residential to business use on some of the busier roads in the suburb which adds more value to the general property values. Some of the roads that could be used in a commercial application are properties on 4th, 10th and 11 streets.

Schools in and around the suburb are well-established and popular for their respective achievements.

The tree lined streets lend a sense of community and tranquility.
