Towns in the Western Cape tend to almost command nostalgia which is in part due to the fact that the Western Cape was the point of origin for the country being explored and developed.

The nostalgia in these towns is seemingly visible in the many dated homes with architecture reflecting those founding years.

The backdrop of the Paarl Mountains sketches the perfect frame for homes in the town of Paarl.

In Paarl this ambience of nostalgia is almost tangible and is clearly seen in the homes which have been preserved dating back to Dutch Colonial days and then progressed to the British Colonial architecture and from there architecture took on a more individual style.

The town of Paarl is picturesque and there is no doubt that the town will appeal to the whole population in one form or another. Tree lined streets and the mixed architecture is inviting and speaks of a serene familial atmosphere.

The town has the status as a middle-class and upper-class town with various suburbs added as time progressed.

Paarl has some of its status attributed to the many wine farms and wine estates which has set a standard in property values and from here eco and lifestyle estates picked up from this cue and further developed the market bringing more value and increased demand for homes in the town.

The property usage will also suit the whole market with the mixed property usage consisting of freehold homes, townhouses, estates and apartments.

Paarl is competitive within the general property market comparable to any other town in South Africa and when relocating to the Western Cape within the Paarl region then the town would be the ideal residential address.

The town of Paarl is an independent town with a commercial hub and is also close to industrial hubs which means it is a fully fledged town.

Being a full-fledged town means Paarl has a number of popular schools such as Paarl Girl’s High School, Paarl Boys High School, Primary Paarl Gymnasium and Paulus Joubert Secondary School.

The town of Paarl would not be complete without malls; here is a list of some nearby malls; Paarl Mall and Vineyard Centre.
