Letsitele is a farming community located in the Limpopo Province close to Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa. The town was established around the early 1930’s. The region is sustained by tobacco and citrus farming and tourism with game hunting and farming.

The town is well established and almost village-like. It has the necessary amenities in or close by to cater for the residents' needs.

Property values are comparable to other larger towns with the architecture made up of conventional and some designer homes.

For the more major needs there are larger towns like Tzaneen or Phalaborwa which have more substantial retail outlets. One will also have access to the Letsitele Junction which has the basic retail outlets.

The tourism industry in the region is certainly one property use worth exploring in the form of guest houses or Bed and Breakfasts, which is a constant source of income.

Tourist attractions in the region are diversified and made up of hiking, camping, hunting, trout fishing, game watching and bird watching.

Tourist attractions close to the town include Balule Game Reserve and Hans Merensky Game Reserve. A bit further afield is the Blyde River Canyons, and the Phalaborwa Gate to the Kruger National Park.

For adventure tourists the Blyde River canyon or one of the many hiking trails and camp site will be a blessing. The town serves well as a stop over or base camp for exploring the region.

Schools in and in close proximity to Letsitele include Dankbaar Primary School, Laerskool Dr Annecke and Deeside Combines School.

In nearby Tzaneen there are private schools which are Meridian College and Unicorn Preparatory School.

Towns surrounding Letsitele are Tzaneen and Modjadjiskloof.
