Harmelia is a suburb of the Ekurhuleni municipality on the East Rand that is nestled between Meadowdale, Eastleigh and Edenvale. The suburb was known for a famous road side restaurant, Ron’s Hideaway which was favored by employees from the Isando industrial hub.

The mixed use of residential property creates a reasonably high demand for the homes in the suburb as it is conveniently located close to amenities like schools, industrial and commercial hubs.

It is well established with a mixture of old conventional and modern homes which attracts a large pool of income groups with prices aimed at the middle income groups working mostly in the industrial hubs close by. These industrial hubs include Isando, Isandovale, Meadowdale, Germiston and Fishers Hill.

The suburb is also conveniently located, making traveling to Edenvale, Germiston, Primrose and Bedfordview convenient.

Schools in close proximity to Harmelia include Klopper Park Laerskool, Edenglen Primary School, Hurlyvale Primary School and Hoërskool Goudrif.

Malls close to Harmelia are Meadowdale Value Center, Greenstone Mall and Makro Store Germiston.

Harmelia is close to many suburbs, including Highway Gardens, Eastleigh, Edenvale and Klopper Park.

Harmelia lends more to Eastleigh than to Isando in terms of property value which is a stable market with high demand - if there are no available properties in Eastleigh, Harmelia will be the next option. The other benefit of Harmelia is that it is close to the OR Tambo International Airport and there are a number of guest houses and lodges in and nearby the suburb catering for the business class visiting the various head office companies located in places like Isando.

Harmelia is a place with endless possibilities.
