This treasure is situated in the fertile, and water rich Talana Valley, close to Montagu. Perfectly positioned to ensure peace and quiet, the necessary components you need for the rustic campsites in the mountain, away from it all. Safety is just an added bonus!
This stylish, well maintained, fully operational, fruit and Horse farm has a beautifully restored homestead, dating back to the golden Ostrich era, with just the best finishes available, no costs were spared. With 4 bedrooms, 2½ luxurious bathrooms, a kitchen to dream of and more, not to mention the covered veranda. A welcoming braai room, ensures entertainment made easy. There are 11 rustic campsites (the very popular, so-called “WILD CAMPING SPOTS”) named “Jackal’s Den”. The camping spots are very private and away from each other, with a very good road network for the camping and 4x4 enthusiasts. With “LEKKER KAMP!” certification. The setting is perfect, with breath-taking views. All the necessary facilities are provided for, the views, safety, peace and tranquillity are optionally extras, as long as you only leave your tracks behind!
The farm is well-known for its fertile soil and ample supply of water, here you can plant to your heart’s desire. A registered allocation of [hidden] (the equivalent of [hidden] million Litres of water per annum!) comes from the very popular and affordable Dwariga Irrigation Water Scheme, not to mention the winter and summer shared water from the Langeberg mountains. Water is stored in a large servitude dam (capacity roughly 98 million Litres) and another smaller dam (capacity roughly [hidden] million litres) and a well-maintained stand-by borehole with new submersible pump, provides good quality water when needed.
The good news is that there is more water available to this farm than what is currently planted, which allows you to expand. The existing plantings consist of [hidden] of Apricots, [hidden] of Peaches, [hidden] already prepared for Cash Crops, [hidden] of Grazing pastures for Horses, and 120 Olive tr
