Overview

The 105ha farm is situated in the Haenertsburg/Magoebaskloof area. It has 40ha of Blue gum trees and 130 Olive Trees as well as 40ha cultivated land that is also ideal for cattle, sheep or goat grazing. A kraal for 50 cattle is situated close to the graze land area. The remaining area consists of indigenous forest. A strong fountain provides water to the houses on the farm and there are 3 water tanks in operation. Although well-established dirt roads provide easy access to all areas for normal sedans, four by four vehicles would be recommended during the raining season.

 

There are two houses on the property, of which the main house is equipped with 2 Bedrooms and 1.5 Bathrooms, a living area, kitchen, a double garage and outdoor workshop. This area is near the olive grove and enclosed with an electric fence. The outside wooden deck of the house provides a spectacular outlook of the Wolkberg mountain range and a neighbouring dam. Another wooden deck has been built below the house, an ideal tea garden beneath the big trees and green foliage.

 

The second house, dates partly from the Anglo Boer war, and has no electricity but running water and a gas geyser. The house  has 3 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom, three living areas, kitchen and stoep. This house are currently being used as a self-catering guesthouse.

 

The average temperatures on the farm is 7-8 C° cooler than Polokwane or Tzaneen due to the high elevation. Most mornings are covered with wet-fog during the summer, that increases the average rainfall in comparison to the surrounding areas. Late season avocado trees and kiwi flourishes in this area.
